About Mojo
Hi, My name is Mojo and I'm an 8-month-old heeler cross.
I'm a special kind of guy as I know sign language. Not many dogs can say they know sign language so I think I'm pretty cool. As you may have guessed, I can not hear very well. Because my ears aren't great I sometimes get a fright when I'm sleeping if you pet me. So I'd like a home with older kids that understand not to sneak up on me. you just need to gently tap on the floor to wake me up.
But just because I can't hear doesn't mean I'm not capable of living my best life. I love water and could swim all day. I also LOVE chasing sticks and chewing on toys. I'm a cattle dog through and through. Because of this trait I do need a home that can give me lots of mental stimulation, like kong's filled with treats (thos ones are my absolute favourite) or feed me with a snuffle pad so I don't gulp down my food :)
Whilst I can't hear thunder, I can certainly sense it, and I get a little bit scared sometimes. I would love a home where I could stay inside and get some reassurance during storms.
If you think we'd get along please contact RAA and they can organise for us to get together :)
Medical notes
I am deaf.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is very flexible! We do have an adoption application form, but we'd prefer to have a chat (via messenger, email or a phone call) first, so we can tell you more about the animal and answer any burning questions you may have.
If you'd like to proceed with the adoption after our chat, we will then forward you our adoption application form. If RAA think that your home is a great match for the animal, the last step is to have a quick FaceTime/Video chat so that you can 'meet' the pet and show us around their new home.
Got something else in mind? Just reach out and we'll see what we can do!
