About Chef
** IN FOSTER CARE IN WOLLI CREEK**
He's bold, he's brave, he's a little sassy, VERY cute and his name is Chef!
Chef is a total rockstar, he has a lot of swagger for a boy that was born a mere 2 months ago and nobody is able to resist his charms. Super smart, Chef is picking up lots of new skills in foster care, he can sit, lie down, recall, walk of leash and be the life of the party. He loves to learn and we'd love to find a family that is looking for not just a dog but a full time sidekick, Chef wants to be involved in everything, whether it be exploring, playing, cuddling on the couch or like all good Chef's should, supervising what's cooking in the kitchen.
Chef's mum was a staffy and dad a lab, his personality and looks are a 50/50 split between the two, so you get this perfect blend of happy go lucky lab and sweet sensitive staffy. He is not afraid to tell you his thoughts and feelings and requires a goodnight cuddle before bed (this is no joke, he does require a gentle stroke and a few positive affirmations before he is willing to sleep soundly). He is truly just a total heart throb and whoever ends up the lucky guardian of Chef is in for a lifetime of good times!
MY IDEAL HOME: I'm looking for an active home with a family that will include me in their day to day activites. Humans who are looking to put in the effort to ensure I am a good canine citizen and a positive representitive for rescue dogs, this means puppy school is a must as well as ongoing postive socialisation. Bonus points to those that are looking for more than just a dog but a best friend. I will not suit a full time worker.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm still a baby so I do need many naps throughout the day but when I'm awake I party pretty hard, I love to adventure and explore and being that I'm a mix of two fairly active breeds it's safe to say I'm not going to be a slug.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I am a friend to all but I do have razor sharp puppy teeth so would need to be managed around small children, I would probably suit kids 10 and up who have some experience hanging around big dogs as I'm going to grow to be a fairly decent size (30kg maybe).
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I LOVE DOGS! I currently live with both big and small and am not shy meeting new dog friends. I would adore living with another dog of any size, just as long as they were up for a wrestle and a snuggle.
I also currently live with a cat, I'm still very excited by her exsistence but I could easily share my life with a confident cat that wouldn't be worried about my inital overzealous desire to be friends.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
