About Rama
Rama is such a sweet love bug!
This girl will do anything to slide up onto your lap to show her love and affection. Rama is just a loving and beautiful girl with lots to give.
Her stunning looks and happy nature make it hard to resist her. She loves people and cuddles. She’s most happy when she’s by your side and is always ready for a hug. Rama enjoys playing tug-o-war and fetch, she also enjoys splashing around in the water. She just loves to be around her family doing whatever they do.
During her time in care, Rama has been living with an adult dog and loves the grandchildren visits! She loves to give the children cuddles and kisses. She loves when they get doggy visitors, the family whippet being her favorite. They really love to chase and play rough and tumble.
Just like most puppies, Rama is still learning her confidence out and about. She will need a confident handler to show her the world. She would do well with another dog in the family who could be a good role model for her and give her the confidence to enjoy all the new adventures. Another dog is not a must if you will ensure positive exposure to the environment outside the home.
When meeting other dogs out and about that she doesn’t know, Rama is a bit unsure. She will need a family who is able to provide her with appropriate socialisation experiences in controlled settings through play dates with known dogs and group walks or classes to help build her confidence.
It is expected that Rama will be a large (around 30kg) and relatively active dog when fully grown so her new family should expect to exercise her daily and provide some mental stimulation at home as well.
Rama has started toilet training which is coming along well. She is very keen to please and is already doing basic training like sit and waiting for her meals. She is a smart girl who is food motivated which means she enjoys training activities and is learning to walk well on lead.
Like any puppy, Rama’s new owners must be committed to continuing her training. Puppy school is a good start, but it would be ideal for her to be enrolled in further group classes throughout the early years of her life. Rama is able to be left along for short periods of time and is continuing to build up her independence; however, she would love to have a home with a doggy friend for companionship.
We are looking for a dog experienced home where Rama will be included as part of the family. She will need a home with another friendly dog and/or someone who is home more often than not. She must be allowed to be inside to spend time with the family and will require a bed inside to sleep on at night. Rama is better suited to older children who can partake in her training while she is still learning to keep all 4 feet on the floor. She has not been tested with cats or other types of pets but with the correct training and introductions she should be ok. Rama’s new owners will gain a true family member and will get lots of snuggles in return for their time and attention.
If you would like to apply to give sweet Rama a home, then please complete a Dog adoption enquiry form on our website as the first step. Please include plenty of details about your family, previous dog experience and any current pets.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
