About Houston
Houston is a sweet little guy looking for his forever (or foster) home in Melbourne. This charmer has a lot of love to give and loves nothing more than playing fetch with his favourite toys (such as tennis balls, kong toys, or his beloved squishy pig) for as long as you will let him.
Houston also loves to curl up on the couch with you and watch movies - he'll happily snuggle up on you or next to you and settle in! If it's time for a walk, Houston is your pup - he'll zoom around you until he's secured to his harness and then will go on a gentle stroll, stopping for plenty of sniffs and taking in his new surroundings.
Houston is great with kids and would suit a family. Particularly if that means someone will be home more often than not (Houston isn't a fan of being left home alone). School aged kids or older would be better so there is no confusion about whose toys are whose, or things left lying around that could end up part of Houston's cheeky mischief to amuse himself while he waits for you to get home.
Houston hasn’t had all that much socialisation with other dogs other than his Staffy sister he grew up with. Houston can be picky with other dogs he likes (and some he doesn't), and as such he needs a home without existing pets, preferably with breed experience. Outside of the home Houston should remain on lead.
At night Houston snuggles up inside (he likes to be able to see or be near his human) and at that’s where he’ll stay until you are ready to start your day. He’ll hold on all night with no accidents inside, he’s really good at this so no need to worry overnight.
Must haves for Houston are a nice grassy secure yard for him to explore and play, and access to take himself to toilet when he wants.
All in all Houston is a really sweet boy who just wants love, attention and stability. Houston will make the perfect addition to the right person / family!
