About 🧼Sadie🧼
Sadie is looking for a retirement home!
This tough but smoochy girl has had a rough life after being given away from the family she had always known and then abandoned for a second time before finding her way to us. She is 13 and has very early stage renal failure and has started on medication and renal food (although she is very picky!) as a preventative measure to help her live a healthy life.
She is currently in foster care with two other cats and while she doesn’t love them she does tolerate them as long as they aren’t taking the lap she wants. She is a typical chinchilla and likes love, but only on her terms She is happy to sit on a lap and smooch her face all over you and is learning that windows are fabulous to sit in and bask in the sun.
We love our Sadie lady and want to find her a home where she is able to be herself but also get the care she needs. We are considering homes who would like to foster with a view to adopt Sadie so we can all be sure she is settled before officially being adopted. We will continue to provide her vet care during this time but an experienced cat home who is willing to provide daily medication (one tablet) and will ensure that our little lady’s face stays nice and clean is a must.
We are considering homes in Melbourne and its surrounding suburbs but she is currently in care in Ferntree Gully.
Please note that only enquiries accompanied by a completed adoption questionnaire will receive a reply. https://www.squishiesrescue.org.au/adopt-cat
Medical notes
Sadie goes to her new home desexed, microchipped and current in vaccinations and parasite treatments. She has also been (not very well) groomed as she was extremely matted, but we didn't want to put her under anesthetic to remove them.
