About Ebony
2 year old Ebony is a cute as a button, black beauty and little pocket
rocket. 'Bon' as she's affectionately nicknamed is the biggest love bug and
she'll find a way to gently nuzzle your hand to request more scritches, or
just dump her snoot into your lap when she senses your cuddle metre is low.
You'll often find her roaching upside down (even on carpet), with her teeth
on display like a fruit bat, or witness spontaneous zoomies that involves
emptying the whole toy basket - Bon hasn't quite learnt how to put them all
back, but that's where you come in:
Bon is so ready to find her forever folk and you'll be the pawfect fit if
you have a resident cutie that she can play with and a backyard so that she
can stretch her gorgeous snootermodel legs. Bon is currently in foster care
with another greyhound who is a couch potato - but she most definitely a
speed noodle at heart! Bon has met lots of other greyhounds, and a whippet
who she enjoyed a wonderful game of chasey with. She is not fluffy dog
friendly, and cats are a firm no thank you. As a bare minimum you'll need to
tell her that she's the "Goodest Girl" at least twice a day. Bon is
extremely attentive and quick to learn new training, especially if you have
fish treatos! Two walks a day is all our little lady needs, although if
you're going for a Sunday drive, Bon would love to join you - she just loves
to stick her snoot out the window and feel the breeze in her whiskers!
Every day Bon wakes up and greets the day with hoppiness - yes you read it
right, she hops! When Bon is meeting her doggo friends or people she adores,
she'll bounce up and down like a little kangaroo. Like many greyhounds, she
takes her snootervisor role very seriously and will shadow you from room to
room. Bon usually goes to work with her foster mum and makes a beautiful
wellbeing officer, where she offers plenty of opportunities for pat breaks
and will happily help you finish your sandwich. Bon's successfully done 4
hours alone with only a little sook, before settling, but ideally would like
her humans around more often than not. If she doesn't have a pal, she will
require her humans to work from home, break up her day with a dog walker, or
even better, allow her to make new friends with your coworkers.
Bon has beautiful lead manners and doesn't pull. Her walking pace is casual
sniffari - she loves to explore and she'll teach you how to take it slow and
to always stop to smell the roses. If you're looking for a snuggly, playful
girl - Bon is the perfect addition to your family.
No cats or small dogs

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.
