Shelby

Hey everyone 👋 this cute little fella is Shelby and he is one of the most relaxed cat's you'll ever meet. Absolutely nothing fazes this little guy.

Shelby is very sweet, very affectionate, very gentle and absolutely loves people. He is used to being an only cat but is not at all fazed by the other cats running around. He's also great with young kids and loud noises so he would be well suited to pretty much any household.

He's also got the most beautiful markings and a very cute little Koala nose.

Shelby isn’t an in your face over the top affectionate cat that will climb all over you 24/7 but he does love to be around people and loves a cuddle. He likes to chill out and do his own thing but will never be far away from you. He likes hang out near by and if you move he will follow you to another room so he can keep an eye on what your up to and he’s always up for a cuddle. If you call his name he will come to you and is happy to be picked up and smooched.

He's a very independent cat that does not need your attention 24/7 like some do but when you're in the mood for a cuddle he's always happy to oblige.

A friend of mine surrendered him to us recently. Apparently Shelby belonged to his boss and his boss had decided he no longer wanted a cat and was just going to open the door and let him go. Being the Good Samaritan that he is, my mate put his hand up to take Shelby and brought him to us to be re-homed.

He has come from a household where he was an indoor / outdoor cat so a home with a backyard for him to explore and do his business would be the ideal situation but he's also litter trained so it's not a must have.

Shelby is approximately 18 months old and has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and is available for adoption right meow.

We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.

Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with a shop front and multiple staff, it a is a very small, one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. All donations received and every cent from adoptions fees goes straight back to the cats in the form of food, litter, toys and vet bills. Meet and greets are by appointment only.
