Atlas

Atlas is a gentle and affectionate cat who thrives in a calm, secure environment. Initially, he should be introduced to a small, quiet space in your home to help him adjust before exploring larger areas, as he can become easily overwhelmed. Providing scratching posts, cat trees, and various hiding spots like cardboard boxes and igloos will help him feel safe and comfortable. Atlas will benefit from a patient and understanding adopter who can recognize his timid nature and allow him time to settle in and show his true personality.

He is best suited for a home with older children who can read basic cat body language and respect his need for space. While he has not been tested with other cats, a slow, gradual introduction is recommended if there are other felines in the home. Atlas may also adapt well to a calm, social dog if interactions are carefully monitored.

Previously, Atlas was described as shy but affectionate and playful once he felt secure. Our behavior team will provide ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition for both Atlas and his new family
