Cruise

Hello, my name is Cruise and like my namesake (Tom) I'm a very handsome boy!

I am a Maremma, which is a very special breed. We are livestock guardian breeds which means I am bred to do a job. I won't be suitable to live in an apartment, or a suburban backyard as this is not my natural environment. I haven't had any proper training as a guardian, but I did live on property with cattle, sheep and horses, so being at a home with some property won't be new to me.

I am a quiet and gentle boy, so my new people will need to be prepared to put in the time and have patience while I settle into a new home. I have only lived in one home, with one family, so a new environment will be very new to me. It may take a little while, but I promise I am worth it. I have a lot of love to give!

I have lived with other dogs and my friends here have seen I am very respectful of others dogs and their space, so I might be able to live with another calm, desexed female dog, or possibly another male who has a similar temperament to me. Obviously I would need to meet them first to see how we get along.

I haven't ever lived with children, so a calm and quiet adult/teen would be best for me.
