About Dizzy
Hello potential new family!
My name is Dizzy and I am adorable British Bulldog, although you could easily mistake me for a little love machine!
Thanks to the rescue I am still around – I was dumped at the pound and the rescue saved me – they did my vet work and put me in a home with an awesome foster mum!
My foster mum says I am a little love bug who just loves to be around my humans – I do still respect your personal space but I just love to be near you – I’m happy with chillaxing with you while you watch tv, read a book, do your housework – I will just keep you company but not be annoying or jump all over you.
I love to wrestle my foster mum’s hand for a head or belly rub and loooooove being brushed – I mean why would you not – it’s all about me then!
My favorite thing in life is loving my humans, getting pats and cuddles and giving them. OMG the tummy rubs – I just love tummy rubs or a good scratch behind the ear or by my tail – oh yeah, that I could enjoy all day.
I am currently with kids (aged 5 and 7) and they don’t bother me and I’m fine with them, I do try my best and my foster mum says I’m great at watching my bulldozer strength unless they challenge me to a run in the backyard then all bets are off as I’m running for that gold medal and the applause of the crowd!
My foster mum says I'm a delight to have and one of the kindest sweetest natures she has even seen.
Since being with my foster family I have learnt that there are some awesome things in life - like sleeping in air conditioning (but that's a must cause of my breed). My foster mum says I have amazing manners – I don’t jump on furniture and happy to sleep in my amazing dog bed that I have.
I enjoy good food - my foster mum has said that I will need to always remember that while girls with a bit of meat on their bones is good – too much food can be an issue.
I love to go for a walk and while I do have bulldozer strength I do try and not pull on the lead. I will warn you now, I do love to stop and say hello to anyone that wants to say hello to me and do get sad when people think cause I’m a bulldog I’m scary – I’m not – my foster mum says I’m just a love bug.
I am used to being able to have a nap mostly of a morning, lunchtime and evening (hee hee) and in between all that play. I also snore as a very delicate freight train
I am also a single dog home girl – sorry no other dogs for me please – I do like to do that bulldog thing when I see another dog out walking the street or at a fence – bulldog lovers will know what I mean. So an only dog home for me please!
I am happy to ride shot gun (okay yeah i know back seat only) in the car with you - I will keep you company for hours while you drive, however I do need help getting in especially if you have a car that is not low to the ground – it’s just one small oomph up and I’m all good to go.
I love a bath – especially the massages that my foster mum gives me while getting me clean – nothing beats a good back massage!
I would ideally like a home where there is someone home (shift work, retired, works from home, stay home mum or dad) I’m not fussy just someone I can hang with thru the day – I would be a great secretary sleeping in your office while you work even.
I am fully house trained, leave your belongings alone and don’t keep the neighbors up barking, I guess you could say I’m pretty chilled.
My foster mum says I also have this canny ability to know when she’s trying to take photos of me so I will turn and show her my bulldog butt!
If you think you could make me part of your family & are interested in applying to adopt me, please send thru an adoption application.
** Please note applications will close Sunday 19th February 2023 at 5.30pm

Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.

Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
