Franki

The gorgeous loving and affectionate little Franki is now seeking her forever family home Sweet baby girl is a Kelpie x with a fun and playful nature who loves her humans and loves playing with toys
With her beautiful temperament and stunning markings Franki is certainly going to make a wonderful addition to the right family home
She is supreme smart as the Kelpie breed is renown for and her training is super easy as she has both brains and food focused,
At 11 weeks and 7.5 kilos we feel she will grow to a standard Kelpie size

Favorite things -
Franki loves food! She is extremely food motivated and happy to follow instructions If there is a treat on offer.
She enjoys playing with her toys. Franki has also enjoyed playing in the sandpit, especially when there are treats hidden in there.
She is happy to chase her Staffy foster brother around the backyard and play tug of war with him.
Franki has recently started going on a walk and is enjoying this.
Franki loves a cuddle with her foster family.
Interaction with humans –
Franki loves people. She is excited to see both children and adults. Her foster family consists of two children and two adults. She has shown affection to all the family and loves to be involved in whatever they are doing.
She does get excited when she meets people and will jump, she is very easily redirected when this occurs and will sit when instructed.
Obedience / Training-
Franki Thrives on positive reinforcement and food rewards, she is very eager to please. She has learnt to sit and is also starting to drop when instructed and is also learning to sit and stay in her bed. She is very clever and picks things up easily. Franki would benefit in continuing her learning with puppy school.

Animal Social Skills -
Franki is currently living with her 2-year-old Staffy brother. She is happy to play with him, We have not tested her with cats but she is young enough to learn with a dog savvy cat
Food-
Franki loves her food and will eat both hers and her foster brothers if she gets the opportunity. Franki is fed separately to her foster brother as she is very protective of her food. She has not shown any food aggression to date and is well mannered at dinner time.
Independence -
Franki is happy being outside during the day, even when her foster family are home and inside. When not given enough stimulation Franki will find her own fun, this mostly involves chewing her toys.
On a night she enjoys being inside with her family, and is happy to sleep inside or out, and can be in or out of her crate as well.
Bathing and Hygiene -
Franki has been well behaved when having a bath. She has also been brushed regularly.
Sleeping -
Franki is currently sleeping in a dog crate outside with the door open. She was sleeping inside however seems to prefer to be outside where she can go in and out of the carte as she pleases.
Exercise -
Franki is a very energetic puppy. She has only just started going for walks due to requiring immunization, however will need this more regularly as she gets older.
Franki will benefit from a good size yard to explore and play in.
IDEAL HOME
Before applying please be mindful that Franki is a working breed and must be kept well stimulated and exercised throughout her life to avoid boredom issues becoming a problem
If I could have my wish for my new home I would love the following
Children - I would love to have some children if possible who are gentle and kind and loving but mature enure to know I need lots of un interrupted nap time while of grow and who won't drop me so over 5 would be nice
We recommend children in the home to have prior dog / puppy exposure before your family applies for a young puppy s puppies teeth and have sharp little teeth
I would love a secure backyard that has grass for me to play in with shelter and shade and room for me to run so no little units or tiny terrace yards as I am a Kelpie and will need space to run
I would be fine with cats as I'm young enough to learn
I would love a BFF doggy friend if possible that is a MALE and of medium size and up who is kind and loving and would be ok with the usual puppy chewing and playful behavior. He must be desexed and well socialized with other dogs
I would love a home that my new family are willing to train me and not just have me as a back yard ornament and who will treat me as a part of the family
A home with a family that have dog experience is essential as puppies are hard work and require lots of time and devotion to ensure they become the best dogs they can be
Franki is doing well with her indoor manners. She will jump on the furniture especially if the kids are on there as she still gets very excited, however can be easily redirected.
She is doing well with toilet training and has only had a few accidents. Frequent visits outside have assisted in this.

Franki would thrive in a home with an active family who are willing to take her on walks and then come home for a big cuddle.
She needs a home with a good-sized yard to run around and explore. Shelter in the backyard is a must if Franki is spending time outside.
Franki loves children, however due to her jumping when excited she may be better suited to a family with older children or obedience training.
Franki requires a home that is very inclusive, she loves to be involved and part of the family.
