About Winston 🐶
Hi I’m Winston and I’m a 6month old French Bulldog.
Yeah yeah I know I’m pretty cute right 😉 but before you fall head over heels in love with me I should probably give you a run down of what I’m looking for in my forever home.
Ideally I’m looking for someone who knows my breed or if you’re not familiar with the French Bulldog breed, you might want to do some research so you know what things I specifically require.
I love going for walks (but only when it’s cooler…I can overheat quite quickly) and will walk right beside you…because that is where I always like to be. I love swimming in the pool and chilling with my people.
I’m currently hanging with some pretty cool pups in my foster home and I love playing games with them but I must admit I do try to be the boss a lot.
My foster mum says I have little dog syndrome,
But If you ask me I would say it’s more like I’m not a great sharer of my things 😉
I love my snuggle bed and would prefer only I sleep on it, my crate is also something I prefer not to share and I definitely don’t like to share my food.
My foster mum thinks I would do really well being in a home as your one and only as my people are my world anyway so I would be happy with that and I am pretty great company even if I do say so myself lol, BUT I would absolutely still need to keep up my doggy social skills, so you will need to take me on outings and doggy play dates will also be a must.
While I went in for my big boy operation, they did some X-rays on my spine to check for Hemivertebrae issues (look that one up) and it looked pretty damn good. I will still need you to take precautions by not allowing me to go up and down too many stairs and jump on and off the bed and lounges, because I don’t realise the damage that can cause.
I also had my nares widened and my soft palate surgery (which helps me breathe better) so you will see in my photos I still have my stitches in my nose, but don’t worry my foster mum tells me they are dissolvable and you won’t have to worry about them.
So if you want to wake up to my gorgeous face every morning then hurry up and apply.
I can’t wait to meet you.
Medical notes
Winston arrived in care presenting with a rectal prolapse, which was examined by one of our vets immediately. They decided that the best option would be to surgically correct it.
Our vets think Winston suffered this due to having prolonged Diarrhoea and started him on antibiotics.
Since completing his medication, and being put on a high quality diet he is doing amazing.
Our vets are very confident and assured us the chances of this happening again is very minimal if Winston is kept in good health.
Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
