Hi, I’m Edgar.
I’m an older gentleman looking for a home with a family who can get me active and slim again! You’ll see that I am a little overweight at the moment. I love going on walks, but I need regular breaks to catch my breath. I’d be happy to join my new family on whatever they’re doing, whether it be going to a café, camping, a beach trip or just a walk to the shops.
I have met other dogs at the facility, and I don’t mind walking around with them, but I would prefer my own space. Maybe if you have another older dog who also prefers keeping to themselves, we could be a good fit. I absolutely love affection, and if you stop patting me, I’ll try to paw you back for more. I’d be open to meet children in the household provided they know how to interact nicely with dogs.
Due to my breed, my coat with need regular brushing and the occasional grooming appointment to get any dead hair from my double coat. I’d love to come inside when my family is home, or when it’s really hot outside. I will probably sleep most of the time! I’m very well behaved in the shelter, so I will just need to learn my new routine at home and spend some time settling in.
I don’t mind if my new owners work full-time, as long to have my daily exercise. I would need to be on a diet as well to ensure I keep losing weight! If you are interested in adopting me, fill out an expression of interest below.
