We really can’t understand why people are not queuing up to meet Hudson and take him home?
Is it because he looks a bit different? Is it because he is a bit uncoordinated? Is it because it takes Hudson a bit longer to learn new skills and retain that learning?
If any of the above is the reason please let us address them.
Hudson looks a bit different due to the fact that his skull has been smashed when he was a puppy. We don’t know how or why it happened but he will bear the scars of that trauma for his life. We personally don’t care that his head is a bit lopsided and personally think he is one of the best looking dogs in the world anyway.
Brain trauma often causes reduced reflexes and this is probably why he is a bit uncoordinated. It just means that he has a puppy like Gait and sometimes he trips over his own feet. It does not impact on his quality of life or impact him physically in way at all.
Hudson does take a little bit longer than other dogs to learn new skills. Hes never going to be the smartest tool in the shed but that okay because he has so many other amazing qualities.
Now we’ve got that out of the way let’s look at how very amazing Hudson really is…
-He loves all people.
-He loves play dates with other dogs ( but wants to be the only one in the home)
-Hudson rarely barks
-He loved going for walks and walks nicely on lead
-Hudson is very self sufficient. He will spend hours by himself throwing his toys around and having naps in the sun
-He is super affectionate and loves giving cuddles
-Hudson is a very loyal dog and will follow you to the ends of the earth if you wanted him to. Surprising though he doesn’t have any separation anxiety at all.
Even if we have just piqued your curiosity about this boy, feel free to come in and meet him and see for yourself how exceptional this dog really is.

Adoption Process
Once you have decided you would like to meet or apply for one of our pets, we email out our Adoption Application. We ask that the Adoption Process be read and if comfortable with how we adopt, complete the application and email it back for processing. This takes approximately 5-7 days. If approved the pet will come for a 6 week trial for cats and 3 week trial for dogs . We believe it takes that long for a pet to settle. If all goes well during the trial and you wish to finalise the adoption we email all vet certificates and change of microchip forms. We believe in matching the right pet with the right home so your application does not guarantee an approval.
