Jeda, a sprightly senior, is a happy little dog who may be getting on in years but doesn't seem to be aware of that! He is intelligent and playful, consistently wagging his tail. He gets on with most dogs but is untested with cats. He loves being around people but, being an independent little dog, can sometimes get defensive, so slow gentle handling with reassurances is recommended. He is not a lap dog, preferring to curl up at his human's feet of an evening.
He is an indoor dog, so is fully house trained and will always ask to go out. He follows basic commands, such as ""sit"", ""stay"" and ""come"", travels well in the car, settling down quietly on the back seat, loves his daily walks and walks well on his lead. He enjoys his food and is not a fussy eater.
Given his age, his eyesight and hearing are not what they were, but are not a cause of concern. They certainly don't prevent him from enjoying life. He does have an old joint injury on a rear leg, so his jumping up or down should be avoided, and, whenever possible so should steps and stairs. His walks should be limited to around 30 minutes per day and his current weight maintained.
Jeda is a great little character who is marvellous for his age, and will make a lovely companion. A home without young children will be best suited for this very special boy.
