About Everest
Hi all, I'm Everest! I was found on the side of the road in the middle of the night, half an hour outside a tiny township in remote Queensland, when a family had to make a roadtrip pit stop for their young boy. Imagine their surprise when a tiny little kitten popped their head out of the bush! I wasn't well and knew I needed help to survive as I was severely underweight, had cat flu, and my eyes were not in good shape. That boy saved my life (and named me!) by finding me and SCA has nurtured me back to health so I can be here today. Now that I'm healthy and grown, I'm looking for my forever home!
I am a loving, cheeky little lass who is an absolute purr machine! I'm pretty much always keen for a cuddle with you if it means I get some pats and attention. The cheeky part comes in because I am a kitten with a lot of life left to live since I've gained condition and found that humans are actually pretty great! I love to play with any toy I can get my fluffy mitts on and find great joy in zooming around the house. I would really benefit from my forever human engaging me with a variety of toys (especially toys on a cat wand!).
I'm more of a people-cat than a cat-cat, so I'd be best suited to a home where I'm your one and only, or your other kitty is independent and can give me space. Although I'm not properly tested with dogs, I have been longing to play with a nice doggo outside so will likely get along great with a cat-friendly canine!
I use the litter tray like a lady and eat all my food every day, so no worries there!
All in all, I'm a wonderful little fluffball who my foster mum reckons will make my forever family very happy.
Keen for snuggles already? Fill out an application now!
Purrs and smooches,
Everest x
Medical notes
P.S. I have some medical notes:
You'll see some cloudiness in my left eye which makes it look a little darker than my right. This is from the severe cat flu I had when I was found, my eyes were closed shut and had ulcerated. But now I've had all my veterinary checks and received the appropriate eye treatments. What you see on my left eye is some scarring of my cornea, but this doesn't affect my vision and I am able to play and cuddle like any other kitten.
Although I'm all better now and haven't had as much as a sniffle since kicking the flu, in the future this may flare up if I am in a situation of stress. This is easily managed though! You can help me by: preventing stressful situations when possible, making sure I have my yearly vaccinations, keeping me hydrated and feeding me quality cat food, and making sure I see the vet if I am unwell or snuffly. With this, you'll find I'm just like any other cat!
