Humphrey Bear

Humphrey Bear is a good natured two year old Labrador X boy with a happy, loving personality. He’s an active boy who loves to run and play. He is still quite excitable like a big puppy but generally very obliging and easy going.

Humphrey is very sociable and enjoys the company of both people and other dogs. He loves the company of his foster brothers and loves to go for walks with them, to play an occasional game of fetch and to nap together in the sun. He is also well behaved around the cat in his foster home.

Humphrey has all the basic commands down pat, and his recall is very good when he’s not distracted. He travels perfectly in the car and enjoys an outing with the family. Humphrey walks quite well on lead but can get distracted by interesting sights and smells, so he sometimes needs a reminder to stay on track! He is very keen to please, so he will enjoy and benefit from further training with his forever family.

Humphrey would like an active home where he will have plenty of mental stimulation as well as lots of exercise, to keep him happy and healthy. He would prefer a home with another dog or dogs, but his style of play is quite boisterous, his companion would need to be up for this! He would be fine living with a dog-savvy cat as long as the humans in the home understand how to do slow careful introductions. It is also important that he’ll be able to spend lots of time with his family and have regular opportunities to get out and about.
