Introducing Alice and Joey

Star crossed lovers, brought together again!

Alice has been in care since November last year after being rescued from a pretty awful situation.

To say Alice is a sweetheart is an understatement. She absolutely adores love and affection, once she gets to know you!
Alice is a spritely, cheeky little poppet who loves to rub herself all over the couch and bed, getting comfy.
She is a bit of a packrat and will steal your clothes if you’re not careful! She especially loves underwear and socks, often chewing or throwing them around.

Alice has been an itchy girl and so she has had a cytopoint injection as well as medicated baths which seem to help.
She may need more cytopoint injections in the future.

Joey was rescued from the same place as Alice but at a different time. He was a very timid boy, not wanting to be touched and was fearful of most things.

We brought Joey into care hoping a home environment would help him relax more and gain trust and what we saw was truly amazing!

Joey and Alice bonded instantly, Alice soon had Joey following her every move.
Joey and Alice are often seen doing Zoomies together, wrestling and sleeping together.
They are a true love story ??

Joey is still not comfortable with human affection and does not like to be handled, although he is getting closer to his foster carers and will sleep in their bed with Alice around, sometimes even having the odd pat. Joey may never respond to human affection and will need someone who understands and respects this.

Alice is toilet trained and will walk on lead.
She does not like travelling in the car.
Joey will still lift his leg to mark his territory in the house, hopefully in time this will stop.
He does not walk on lead.

Both Joey and Alice are fantastic with cats.
They get along with other small dogs too.

A quiet adult home without children is preferred as Joey can frighten easily and will startle at loud noises.

They are quite content together while you are out and about and get very excited when you get home jumping and dancing around your feet.

We know that Joey is happy wherever Alice is and if you feel like you can give both Joey and Alice a forever home knowing you will get all the love from Alice and the aloofness from Joey then we'd love to hear from you.
