Selene **2nd Chance Cat Rescue**

MY PROFILE:
Selene is exceptional. She's one of those cases where you think to yourself 'if only they could talk'!

Selene gave birth to four beautiful kittens in a garden bed near St Albans train station. She'd been part of a local colony for a little while and wasn't able to be brought into care in time before giving birth. Thankfully Selene and her kittens were able to be rescued on the day they were born.

The vet thinks Selene is around 5 years old so MUST have given birth to numerous litters. But she's not a typical stray...she's friendly and sweet so must have been raised with humans.

Selene was skeletal when she came into care which was awful for her as she fed her kittens and showered them with love. Our foster carer with a lot of TLC has nursed her to a picture of health. In fact she's a total guts who has doubled her body weight! A little bit of dieting probably wouldn't be a bad idea for her eek. She just loves her food which is understandable after going without.

Selene's story is a beautiful one...she not only raised her four gorgeous kittens who have now found their forever homes she has taken kittens for 6 different litters under her paw including feeding some too young to be without their mothers. She is exceptional and deserves the very best for the next stage of her life.

She's a gorgeous girl, a dark chocolate rather than black. She's missing some front teeth (the vet said this could have happened very young) so does often do a tongue blurp! Almost has a slightly Persian element with a somewhat squishy cute face.

She's a purrer who loves pats and is now able to enjoy PLAYING after not having to always be looking after her babies. Her favourite is her toy squirrel that she loves to talk to and carry around.

Selene would be fine with another placid cat, but to be honest after having so much responsibility looking after all those kittens she is a bit of it and really wouldn't mind some alone time! She'd be fine on her own with someone with a love of love to give but is independent and low-key. She's tolerant of the resident dog so would be fine with a doggo who wasn't too in her face.

She's incredibly special and it will be very hard to see her go - but Selene deserves an exceptional forever home.
