SPECIFIC KITTY INFO:
PATCH:
From the first day we picked up her and her siblings, Patch was always the adventurer. While her siblings hid in the back of the crate, she was at the very front, staring at everything, taking everything in. She was the first to exit the crate. The first to accept humans. The first to cuddle into people. All while returning to her siblings and making sure they are all okay. She was and is the smallest kitten, with a bigger than life personality, and a zest for life. She is always the one leading her much bigger brothers and sisters from the front and in doing so teaches them, and humans, so much about being open and loving. She is a sweet people person. Never loud, never unhappy, just sweet, gentle, and open. Her hobbies include warm baths, hanging upside down off the roof of her cat house, and finding a little corner to tuck into and keep warm once she has burned off her (almost endless) energy.
PEPPER:
Whoever said tortoiseshell cats are strong-willed and feisty must have met Pepper in a previous life. Pepper is a vivacious and strong female who knows exactly what she wants. And that is cuddles, cuddles, and more cuddles. Also her brothers and sisters, humans, the sun, dogs, furniture to scale, and of course, great food. She doesn’t accept anything less than everything life has to offer; and what she takes, she returns two-fold. She is the most energetic of her litter, the wrestler, the scientist testing the waters of life while loving all of it endlessly. Teaching all around her to breathe in life, and then breathe in some more. She loves life, people, and her siblings ferociously. And belly rubs, she also loves belly rubs ferociously.
MARMALADE:
Marmalade is a sweet little monkey. Olympic climbers don’t stand a chance against this fearless pioneer. Constantly engaged in either cuddling up to you and sniffing your nose, or burning around in a love affair for life; all while being impossibly photogenic. Beautiful ginger and white fur, eyes bluer than the waters of Positano, (almost too) perfect pink paws, and a tiny pink nose. A sweet and very intelligent little boy who will be burning the grand prix one second, and tucked into your lap the next. He is easy-going and gentle, and always looking out for his siblings. When another older kitten he was fostered with was scared and hid in the corner, he would always run over and meow until the older kitten came out.
MR JINX:
Mr Jinx is a very special cat. He is from a different litter, but legend has it that he was adopted by another much younger litter in the wild and that was the beginning and the end of the story. Unfortunately we don’t know what happened in his previous early life, but when he was fostered he was scared of people. Despite that, he looked after the rest of the litter like he was their parent. He cleaned them, kept them warm under his body heat, and wouldn’t eat until they had eaten. When he and the other foster kittens were first let out to play in their foster home, he hid in the corner, and the only thing that would lure him out was the other kittens’ meowing. His nickname became ‘Bear’ for being so brave. On the people side, each day was a huge improvement. First, he stopped hissing out of fear. Then he came out to play more. Then he didn’t run away when people approached. And started enjoying cuddles and pats. Started purring like an engine. Started playing constantly. Started coming up to people for cuddles. He absolutely came to life. There’s an old adage that often a stray cat who is scared of people initially ends up being the most affectionate once the fear falls away – and that is Mr Jinx. He has phenomenal character and a love for life.
