We are looking to re-home our beautiful cattle x beagle 7 year old Marli.

Marli is well trained in all aspects and is overall a fantastic dog. Marli loves to be walked and has been well trained on a halty lead but doesn’t show any type of extra energy if not walked for a few days.

She loves any type of food but does often leave her food in her bowl for a few days before eating it, just eating small portions at a time. She has never shown any type of food aggression by herself or with our previous dog around.

Marli loves treats, as most dogs do. Any treats will do! We have trained her that she shows no aggression to having her treats removed from her at anytime.

Marli has been great with children and loves my two children who are both under two. She often just rolls onto her back for a pat. She loves any person who throws the ball and loves greeting people who come into her space. Often wanting a pat on the belly and a cuddle but is easily redirected to her bed if required and often will stay in her bed/kennel if there’s lots of people visiting. Sometimes I get the feeling she enjoys her own space.

Marli loves to play with her ball and loves to bring it back to you everytime until she eventually gives up and takes the ball to her bed for a rest.

Marli unfortunately has shown aggression to other dogs in uncontrolled environments and requires a muzzle upon meeting any other dogs and meetings should be avoided. Marli was a great companion dog to our older staffy but unfortunately doesn’t show this same temperament with other dogs and will often take an aggressive stance upon meeting any other dog whether on or off lead. If on lead and the dog is a distance away she is very easily redirected and will continue walking by your side. We are rehoming her due to this as I would hate to see my children or any other child accidentally involved with any kind of meeting that could potentially lead to them being hurt.

My family and I have made the very hard decision to look into rehoming Marli. I would love to see her go to a family with a bit of space for her to run around, but In saying that she also loves to be snuggled up at night on the lounge or on her bed and enjoys any love and attention from her owners. She is incredibly affectionate and I would hope to see her new owners follow this as well to ensure she is made comfortable in her new home.

Marli is quite intelligent and knows how to sit, lay down, roll, spin and speak among other basic requests.
