About Satsuma
*In foster care in Marrickville, Sydney*
Satsuma is a sweet and adventurous tortie kitten! While she can be a little shy at first, she's easily won over by lots of nice chin scratches and tummy rubs :)
Since being rescued from a street colony, Satsuma has quickly gained her confidence in foster care. She's a gorgeous mix of playful and calm - chasing ping-pong balls or anything tied to a string one moment, and snuggling up in a quiet corner the next! She'll happily keep herself entertained while you're at work, as long as there's a good scratching post or two to wrestle with and lots of nooks and crannies to explore :)
Like all Maggie's pets, Satsuma is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be with a patient person, couple or family who'll give me heaps of love and attention so I can continue to blossom! There'll be plenty of toys and rooms to race through, but I'll also need my own space to retreat to when I get all tuckered out. I'd also be purrfectly happy with another friendly feline to play with!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Kitten! I'll zoom around like a demon for hours, playing with you and my toys, but I also need lots of solid naps to recharge.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I haven't had the chance to meet any kids yet. While I can be a bit shy when meeting new people, I should be OK with older kids who know to be gentle and patient with me and to play nice.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I'd really benefit from living with another lovely cat who can show me the ropes! I haven't had the chance to meet any dogs at this stage, but I reckon I'd be fine with a cat-friendly dog after a gentle, supervised introduction.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
