About Wingman
*In foster care in Wollstonecraft, Sydney*
Cuddle monster Wingman is a gorgeous Blue Heeler on the search for a wonderful new home! He loves to get cosy with you on the couch - often drifting off to sleep with his tongue poking out - but is also comfortable doing his own thing.
A beautifully well-behaved fellow, Wingman has mastered several basic commands including sit, leave it, stop, let's go (used on walks) and more! He also has no separation anxiety when left inside at home, and can be happily left alone when you go to work.
At six years of age, Wingman has a more mature level of energy than your typical Blue Heeler - but he still enjoys a good game of fetch and an enthusiastic tussle with his toys! He is reactive to other animals, and will require ongoing training to help him become more relaxed when he's out and about in the world.
Like all Maggie's pets, Wingman is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will treat me as a fully-fledged member of the family, and allow me to live inside the house with you. I'll need to be your only pet, but that's OK because I'll give you all the snuggles you could ever desire!
While I am comfortable in an apartment, I'd definitely benefit from a backyard (or a quiet park nearby) where I can play fetch with my humans. I do shed quite a bit of hair, so you'll need to be cool with that too :)
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Low to medium, I'd say! I'm cool and calm most of the time, and love to laze around the house. But I do get excited when I know I'm about to go for a walk or out to the yard for playtime!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Excellent! I don't jump up when greeting people and I'm generally pretty obedient :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I tend to be reactive around other animals so I'll need to be your one-and-only furry friend.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
