About Patch
Patch is looking for a committed home that will do him right and continue to work on establishing and maintaining boundaries and socialisation with other dogs.
Patch is a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier pup (date of birth 29 June 2022) that has the typical small male terrier syndrome. When out walking he is alert to movement and smells. Patch is not dog aggressive, but he is unsure and will establish his personal space by snapping at other dogs.
Patch has lived with another dog (small female) but his play was a little rough at times. Once again he needs clear boundaries on what is acceptable.
Patch has lived with children and cats but he is a busy boy with strong terrier gene's and behaviours. Patch likes to have company so would be best in a home where someone is around a fair bit. Patch is currently crated at night in his foster placement.
Patch is flea and worm treated, desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $900.
We are looking for a foster to adopt arrangement initially so we can monitor his training and progess. His adoption will not be finalised until we can see his progress in some areas. His foster to adopt arrangement does not necessarily have to be in Horsham but the people must be able to maintain contact with us via phone calls, email and video calls.
If your up for some training and having a best buddy email us at phoenixarh@outlook.com and tell us what sparks your interest in Patch and how you would approach training and positive boundary setting with this tenascious and people focussed boy.

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
