About Hunter
Are you looking for an active best friend for outdoor adventures who morphs into a giant lap dog at the end of the day on the couch?
Then Hunter is your man!
Hunter is a beautiful loving boy who needs patient and caring home where his humans are home regularly throughout the day and he is part of most of the household adventures.
Personal space is not in hunters vocabulary, he will be your shadow around the house and cuddle up with his head or entire body on your lap. Some people refer to pointers as the velcro breed... and he really lives up to this!
Hunter feels anxious when left without human company, and while mildly more relaxed when left with another dog it's more important his humans are regularly around. His new home will need to work on building his resilience to spending time apart from them.
Hunter will need a safe outdoor area with high fences he can't jump.
Crate training would be a good option for Hunter to help him feel secure and safe!
So far Hunter has been a kind and gentle soul with all the humans and dogs he has met.
His lack of spatial awareness and is enthusiasm to meet children means he will be best suited to a home with older kids; or dog savvy little ones!
Hunter has been working on his loose lead walking but his new home will need to continue to build this skill.
Hunter would not be suited to a home with pet birds, chickens; ducks etc and he REALLY loves to chase our feathery friends.
Hunter loves walks and adventures, his favourite things include:
Bushwalks
Running
Cuddles on the couch
Fresh bones
Hunter is a loving boy who just wants to be your best friend, he can't wait to meet his new forever humans.
*experience with the breed preferred.
