About Leo (59458)
Leo is a sweet, tri coloured border collie mix who can be a little shy at times. Leo has not had a lot of external experiences so he will prefer a go slow approach in a calm, patient home. Leo is shy but friendly with dogs, very interactive with handlers and leans on them for support, he is very busy and strong on lead which requires work and has generally coped quite well in the shelter. Not much is known of his past home but he possible could be crate trained. Leo would do best with an active, committed owner, older children and possibly an older, well trained dog friend. Leo has hip displasia. Dogs with hip dysplasia often lead long, full lives, especially with treatment. Leo has shown no lameness due to this and with correct treatment may not be overly affected by his condition.
