About Houjicha
Hi, my name is Houjicha, and I am a beautiful little girl with brown tabby markings on my head and light brown tortoiseshell patches on my sides. I came in with my mum, Sakura, and 2 brothers, Sencha and Matcha. I am quite a small girl, but that just makes me cuter!
I am a friendly and playful girl who gets along with all the humans and cats in my foster house. Unlike my brothers, I do need to warm up to people when I first meet them, and I don't immediately trust every human I meet. Although it doesn't take me too long to get to trust someone, I like to form bonds with my humans before I get too snuggly with them. Once we have a bond formed, I will purr and sometimes lick your hand when you pat me and sleep at the end of your bed.
I absolutely love to play! Most of the time, I can occupy myself by playing with my mousy, but I would still like my humans to play with me too. I also like to spend time in my cat tree, sleeping up high.
Houjicha's ideal home would be a calm and quiet home. She is very low maintenance and would be fine an a small home or apartment, so long as she has toys and a cat tree with a good view. She has a sweet and gentle temperament, which would make her an ideal companion to an existing friendly cat, so an existing cat would be a bonus but she should also be fine as a single cat, so long as she had regular companionship and lots of toys.
Houjicha has not been exposed to dogs but has met kids before and would be fine in a home with respectful children. Children over 8 would be preferable but younger children would be fine if they don't chase her. While she may take a few days to adjust to a new family, she is confident enough to fit in with most families.
Please reach out if you think this little girl would suit your family!
