About Optimus
Update: Optimus is still looking for his furever home. Here is an update from his career: "He’s so chilled when he’s not cuddling he takes himself exploring around the yard and hasn’t tried to jump fences or anything. He gets on really well with other dogs and has had a few play dates".
Optimus was rescued from the pound and we're excited to be giving him a second chance at life! He is now ready for adoption and is keen to find his forever home.
Optimus is a laid back 2-year-old American Staffy cross with a very chilled out nature. He never barks or jumps, and so is great with young children. He has not shown any tendencies to escape.
He is good with female dogs but is untested with male dogs. He is a little scared of cats up-close, however, we believe he would be able to get used to living with cats.
He is very obedient, but with some loving guidance, needs to learn basic commands such as sit and stay.
He came from a community environment so we believe he would be perfect for taking to work, or living in a family with kids, which he would enjoy equally.
Optimus is scheduled to be fully vaccinated and desexed this week.
If you believe you could give this handsome young man the loving home he deserves, we would love to hear from you!
Adoption details
Our adoption process is very flexible! We do have an adoption application form, but we'd prefer to have a chat (via messenger, email or a phone call) first, so we can tell you more about the animal and answer any burning questions you may have.
If you'd like to proceed with the adoption after our chat, we will then forward you our adoption application form. If RAA think that your home is a great match for the animal, the last step is to have a quick FaceTime/Video chat so that you can 'meet' the pet and show us around their new home.
Got something else in mind? Just reach out and we'll see what we can do!
