Hi, I’m Valley!
I’m looking for a home with a family who have owned dogs in the past and can match my energy and give me an amazing, fun life! I love all people and tend to let my excitement take over when I meet them. I’m just super friendly and want to be loved by everyone I meet.
I hope my new family are active and will take me on adventures with them! Things like bush walks, beach trips, camping or even just a nice stroll to the local café would be great. I’d love a home with a yard where I can stretch my long legs, run around and eventually learn how to play with toys like a real puppy!
I have met other dogs at the facility and at first, I can be a little anxious and intimidated. I show signs of fear around other dogs and hope in time I can build my confidence around them. I would be open to meeting dogs if you have any at home, at long as they are well mannered and gentle with me. Group classes with a professional dog trainer and other dogs would be very beneficial to give me appropriate exposure and learn basic manners.
I generally walk well on leash but I’m still learning not to zig-zag. My training is going well and I know how to sit on command. I know I will pick up other essential training easily as I’m very smart and food motivated. If you have any children at home, bring them in to meet me so we can be best friends before we go home together. If you work part—time that would be preferable, just at first until I get to learn my new routine and build a great bond with you!
