Hi, I’m Dillon!
I’m a big, lovable guy looking for a forever home! I absolutely adore all people! Sometimes my excitement gets the better of me and I jump up on people, not realising my size. For this reason, it would be best if any children in the household were at least 12 years old. I hope my new family are fairly active as I love running around and playing and going on long walks. I’d be perfect for bushwalking and hiking.
I’ve met other dogs here at the facility and I don’t mind them! If you have a dog at home, bring them in to meet me to ensure we get along. I’m not interested in toys at the moment but that’s because there are more exciting things going on here. My carers have been training me to walk nicely on lead, so that will need to continue at home. To make walks more fun, be sure to bring yummy treats with you and we can turn it into a training session!
I already know sit but I need to learn some more things in my new home. It would be beneficial to enrol me in group classes if you need some extra help! I hope my new home has a yard and secure fencing so I can spend my free time trotting around while being completely safe. I don’t mind if my new owners work full-time as long as I have some mental stimulation while you’re gone such as Kongs or enrichment feeders.
I love having cuddles with my carers, I especially love pats behind the ears. I’d love to have some inside time with my new family once we have set some boundaries around where I am allowed to be.
If you’ve got a Dillon shaped whole in your heart, please submit an expression of interest below.
