About Gulliver
Good natured, playful and cuddly with frinkles to boot - there’s a lot to love about Gulliver! He is a Shar Pei x and looks like a golden teddy bear, who isn’t going to fall head over heels for him?
This little guy is a confident and happy pup who loves his toys, playing with his foster sister and snoozing in awkward positions. Gulliver is very food motivated. He has learnt to sit and wait before meals and is getting the hang of sitting rather than jumping up for pats and cuddles.
Gulliver loves going for his daily walks and his lead training is coming along really well. He enjoys a good sniff and is curious about all the bugs, plants and sticks he discovers along the way. He is all tail wags when he sees other dogs and is calm and friendly when meeting them. He is even happier when he gets a pat from their humans and the kids too. Gulliver will need a decent amount of exercise daily and should be provided with lots of opportunities to socialise in appropriate forms such as doggy play dates.
During the day, Gulliver likes to run around with the resident dog at his foster home and play with his toys. His favourite spot to chill in on the grass in the backyard. He’ll often take his teddy out with him and roll around talking to himself. Gulliver loves a belly rub and will take every opportunity to get a cuddle and climb up on his foster parents' lap while they're working. At night, Gulliver sleeps indoors in a warm bed and will sleep soundly through the night.
Gulliver is crate trained and his toilet training is coming along nicely. He will take himself outdoors through a doggy door during the day and as long as he is taken outdoors to toilet before bedtime, he will go all night with no accidents. Gulliver also travels really well in the car. His new family will need to be committed to providing ongoing training to ensure he grows up to be a good canine citizen.
We are looking for a shar pei experienced home for Gulliver to ensure his needs are met and his personality understood. Gulliver would suit a home with another stable, social female dog (2+ years old) and/or someone home most days. Ideally the resident dog will like to snuggle, play and is willing to share their toys too. He will need a warm comfy bed inside of a night, and be provided with a good quality diet.
If you think you could offer this lovely boy the forever home he deserves, please fill out an adoption application form and describe in detail your experience with the breed and the lifestyle you can offer Gulliver.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
