Jett - 5 Year Old Pomeranian X (On Trial)

Jett – the history is a mystery, but the here and now is happy and that’s what matters for this wiry long coated little man.

Jett shows us that he once upon a time had a home. He is toilet trained; knows basic commands; is a polite eater and doesn’t feel the need to resource guard. He wants your attention, yet he is meek and doesn’t dare ask for it. He is content to spend time alone but is so very excited when you come home.

Jett is likely to be around 5 years old. He has spent quite a bit of time without those comforts a loving home provides. When he came into care, he was very shut down. Some patience and quiet loving have brought him out of his shell. And he is a gentle joy to be with.

This beautiful boy needs a home where he can be himself. He needs secure quiet hidey holes, places to explore during the day and comfy lounge time with his people at night. There are no strict requirements for his new family. Jett currently spends his days with an older and less agile couple and another foster dog who is a special needs boy. Jett appears to be a mix of Pomeranian and Schipperke. These breeds are both good with children, and Jett has been good with the foster carers’ grandson (under 2) but he is obviously nervous about the antics of a toddler, so older children (over 10) would be preferred. Lets be honest; he would prefer a family capable of taking him for “longish” walks and beach adventures; and he would prefer to have the company of a female pup. But he isn’t fussy. He just needs routine, some exercise, patient and confident people who will love him, and he will settle in and reward you with buckets of love.

Jett is desexed, wormed and vaccinated. and appears to be in great health. He requires a weekly brush because he is prone to dreadlocks over time. His fine fur is quite thick and shiny. He will always look scruffy, regardless of the time and effort put into his grooming so he is never really going to be show dog standard. But he has all the makings of a perfect family dog.

Jett will need secure fencing to keep him safe. He is nervous of thunder but doesn’t seem to mind the rain. He will dig belly holes under shrubbery, so he has a cool shady spot for alone time in the yard. He does not chase birds. He has not been tested with cats or pocket pets. He will definitely need to sleep inside at night – he may howl if he gets scared and that might upset your neighbours.
