About Zara
Sarah is looking for a calm home environment with a patient owner who will gently help her settle into her new home. Sarah has had a rough start to life and has likely missed some important early socialisation and as a result can be very worried and unsure in new environments, when meeting new people and with touch. Providing a crate or bed for Sarah inside will give her a safe place to go when feeling worried or overwhelmed. She will likely spend a lot of her time in here when first adjusting to her new home. Her new owner should allow Sarah to leave her safe space in her own time. Once comfortable, Sarah will start to show her more playful side, allowing gentle scratches around the ears and chest, play bowing and running around with small soft toys! If there are children in her new home Sarah would like to meet them at time of adoption. Calm older children are best for her. She may also be suited to sharing her home with another dog of similar size - a calm social male who can help her gain confidence. They will also need to meet at time of adoption.
