About Polly
You should never judge a book by its cover, particularly when it comes to Polly. Despite her sometimes judgey glare, fourteen-year-old Polly is a lovely, laid-back lady with a heart of gold.
She was found recently at the end of a dead-end bush road, very skinny and unsure about people but came around to loving her foster carers in a very short time and delighted them by letting her beautiful personality shine through. In fact, she now seeks out any chance she can get to give or receive affection, purring whenever her carers are nearby. She loves being patted and rubbed and won't be shy about vocalising if you stop and she wants more.
Befitting her 14 years, this mature lady likes to sleep the day away or sun bake at the window watching the outside world. Polly can also be super snuggly at nap time, wanting to curl up on her foster carers' laps or stretch out by their feet.
She is wonderfully easy-going and completely unfazed when the dreaded vacuum comes near or a noisy blender does its job in the kitchen. Polly also loves her food but beware, she's a big fan of carbs and can't resist an unattended loaf of bread on the kitchen counter! Luckily bread is her only vice, with her foster carers reporting all other food is safe from her sneaky paws.
Polly is not worried by the resident dog in her foster home, but likes to keep things fairly quiet, so an older, calm dog might be a good companion in her forever home. She would be great company for a home with a couple or older children.
This lovely lady has had a rough time lost in the bush and now that she's back to her best, we'd love to find her a peaceful home to enjoy her twilight years.
