About Finn - 4 Year Old Schnauzer (On Trial)
Hi! I’m a 4 year old, rare, white schnauzer called Finn and am looking for my forever home. I’m a sweet, funny, loving, loyal boy and I’m always with my Foster Mum (FM) no matter where she goes! On the upside she says that she is never lonely and I’m great company for her when she works in the garden. When she is working from home I’m happy just to chill on the lounge in her office.
I’m told I’m a smart doggo & I’m very quick at learning new commands and tricks and FM has a feeling I would be excellent at agility. It sounds like fun to me. I know some human words too. Like ‘sit’ ‘go to your bed’ and ‘wait’.
I am house trained and can use the doggy door. I love hanging out inside on my own bed with my family when they are at home. I walk really well on a lead and not reactive when I see other dogs whilst out and about. I have great recall except when there are feathered distractions.
I really enjoy car rides cause that generally means we are going somewhere new or fun to explore! I love going to the leash free dog park exploring bush roads and tracks with my foster mum and dad and long walks on a beach. Just don’t ask me to swim! Walking around my suburb is really cool as well, I get to check out where all the good smells are.
I’m not really a lap dog…more of a lie beside you on the lounge kinda guy if you would allow it. Otherwise, I hang out on my bed. At night I like to be in my parents’ bedroom on my own bed, but if you were to give me permission to sleep on the bed at your feet…well I’m not going to say no to that!
I am best suited as an only dog, with no pocket pets and no children under 12yrs.
My dream home would be a family who would love to have me adore them and be their loyal companion. Maybe someone who works part time from home/ stay at home/retired to keep me company would be amazing! I’m ok on my own for a few hours here and there but I get anxious if there is no one home all day.
