About Lola
Hi, I'm Lola
I have the cutest, soft floppy ears and I'm a gentle, social butterflyl. I'm happy to hang out with you while you go about your daily grind be it in the house or the man shed, as long as you make time for cuddles and snuggles.
My favourite things include kids (any age), dogs, toys, car rides, going places and water. I sure hope you have a human size pool so I can swim, but if not I'll settle for an extra large dog pool. I'm a dog you can take anywhere, so don't leave me in the backyard. I need to socialise and get out of the house every day.
You can add trips to the vet to the things I love..., the vet, the staff and all the busy-ness that goes on there! I like to say hello to everyone that wants to say hello to me.
I know my basic commands and will even shake if you ask me to. I walk well on the lead and my recall is pretty good. I'm not particularly food driven, but I do like a good bone.
I'm a super fast learner and very responsive. My previous foster Mum taught me how to contain my excitement around 4 foster siblings and how to play properly with manners. My current foster mum is introducing me to lots of new dogs on our walks. I've had heaps of play dates with multiple dogs!
I'm eager to please my human(s), and love learning new things. My foster Mum says I'm an easy dog to have around and that I could live with another male dog. I could also live as a solo dog but I'd need you to be home part time or most of the time 'til I settle in. When you're away I'd prefer to be inside on a soft couch, but with access to a dog door and enrichment toys or things to do.
From Lola's carers: Lola's old owner warned us she would dig to escape if left alone, however she's never done any digging at our place. We've left her as long as 6 hours at a time and always find her curled up on the couch when we get home.
Lola came to SAFE with incontinence--If she fell asleep her bladder would empty without her being aware at all. She recently started a new medication and has not had a single accident. The medication is an oral liquid, given 2x a day (AM & PM). The vet believes we may be able to eventually reduce it to 1x a day (PM).
5 GREAT REASONS TO ADOPT FROM SAFE:

/Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination, desex and microchip
/Foster care instead of cage confinement, so I get love and socialisation
/Speak directly with my foster carer
/Quick response to your enquiry
