About Sandy
Sandy is an affectionate girl, who found herself pregnant when only a kitten herself, and came into care via a pound with two babies, Pounce and Gemma (also up for adoption).
Sandy has always been very sweet, and gentle, and quite timid. However, since moving on from Mum duties, she has shown herself to be very playful. She loves flicking soft balls around the ground, play wrestling with her daughter, and trying – unsuccessfully – to engage the grumpy resident cat to play. She has a favourite little echidna finger puppet toy that she rolls around flicking and carrying room to room. It's one of the ‘gifts’ she brings to her foster mum, along with other soft toys.
Sandy has become very confident and affectionate in foster care. She will often gently walk in front of your legs, caressing you with her tail, give you head butts, and sit on you when you’re lying down. She doesn’t like being picked up and held but loves to be near her humans and her daughter.
She can take a little time to warm up to new people, but then other strangers she doesn’t blink an eye at. She is unsure about a very loud toddler running towards her, and makes herself scarcer when toddler is about, but is fine with the six year old who is less intense!
Sandy has the softest coat and is so slender and delicate. She talks a lot! When she's not playing by herself or with her kitten, or seeking attention, she’ll be found lazing on the bed, the change table or couch, often cuddled with Gemma. She would love to be adopted with her daughter, Gemma. She is very passive and is likely to get along with most other resident dogs and cats with proper introductions.
