About Bailey
Meet Bailey! He is a very high-energy boy who has little spacial awareness. This combination means when he has bursts of energy, he has been known to be boisterous and jump around and up onto us. He is a friendly boy who wants to engage with people he is familiar with- he is much more responsive to people who have spent more time and have built trust with him. This loyal boy is also very intelligent and treat motivated- he knows sit, drop, shake and roll. He has great focus for tasty treats and makes a great trick dog! Bailey's new owners will need to be willing to continue his training and continue to socialise him slowly with new people and dogs. Bailey hasn't had much experience walking on lead so he is strong and tends to zig-zag- his new owner/s will need to be prepared to get him used to walking on lead gradually. He is looking for an active family who can show him great new and fun ways to burn his energy, and a large enclosed yard for him to run around in since he is still a young dog. Since Bailey can be boisterous and jumps up, he can go home to an adult and/or teen household as children may get knocked over in his excitement. Bailey may be okay to go home to a very dog friendly canine friend who can show Bailey how to dog! If you have lots of time and dedication to settling Bailey in to his new home, please enquire at RSPCA Peninsula or call on 5978 9001!
