Suzy Q 🌸 Silky Terrier x JRT(On Trial 11/2/23)

Suzy Q is a very sweet and affectionate 6yo, Silky Terrier x Jack Russell Terrier. 🐶. She might just be the perfect dog! We can’t think of anything negative to say about her. She loves all people and dogs. She greets everyone she meets with great happiness and loves to sit on your lap and be petted and brushed.

Suzy Q is very gentle and loving. When you sit down, she likes to jump onto your lap and lean into your shoulder for belly rubs. She enjoys being with people, playing with small dogs, and exploring the garden. Suzy Q would be happy to live with other small dogs or to be the only pampered pooch.

Suzy Q walks very nicely on a harness and lead and looks forward to going for a 20-minute walk most days. She isn't suitable to go to dog parks or to be let off lead. She hasn’t had any formal training but she is calm and well behaved.

She barks at some outside noises but isn't a nuisance barker. She is good in the car 🚗. She hasn’t been tested with cats. She needs to have a yard, a small one will do, so she's not suited to apartment living.

💝 Suzy Q is very much an inside girl and needs to be welcome inside, on your furniture, and to sleep inside. She is well housetrained. She is fine left at home alone inside for a several hours at a time but not all day. So, we're looking for a home where there is someone who doesn't work full-time.

Suzy Q is good with children but due to her small size she isn't suitable to a busy household with children under 12. She likes small visitors though, if they gentle and don't try to pick her up.

Suzy Q has big, soulful eyes and the most luxurious coat! It is medium length, soft and silky. She sheds a little but not a lot. She needs regular brushing, bathing, and nail clipping. You could get her coat clipped shorter but we think she looks beautiful with it long. She is a bit underweight at only 4kgs.

Suzy Q was abandoned at a country pound. She wasn’t microchipped so we are going by our vet’s estimate of her age and breed.

✅ Suzy Q has stolen our hearts 💕. We are looking for a home for her where there is someone home a lot, who will make her a big part of their lives; to love her, play with her, take her for walks, and let her sit on their lap. 🌺

Suzy Q is in foster care in Belmont, NSW (Lake Macquarie, south of Newcastle). ⭐️ She is only available for adoption within NSW and ACT. Suzy Q's adoption fee is $600 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, worms, vet checked, and microchipped.
