About Toey - 8 Year Old Mini Foxy X (On Trial)
Say a big, warm hello to Tiny Toey! A small bundle of joy that is looking to warm the home of his new, loving owners.
This little bundle of joy loves his humans, with an extra emphasis on lap time and cuddle time! Give him a small amount of love and he’ll give you the world.
Toey hasn’t had the easiest start to life. Due to only being microchipped since coming in the care of Dog Rescue Newcastle, it is estimated that he is roughly 8 years old. He arrived in car with terrible teeth that have since been cleaned and some removed. And due to being attacked by a larger dog some years ago he has sustained nerve damage that has affected his right front and back leg. While his walk is a little wobbly, the vet assures us he is doing just fine!
Toey is house trained and uses his doggy door very well. He does like to guard his food so supervision is requested until he becomes more comfortable in his new home.
He hasn’t been tested with children, cats or pocket pets just yet. And would suit a home with minimal stairs and with someone at home most of the time to keep him company.
Rest assured if you are home a lot and like to relax in your recliner with a cup of tea and a good book/great TV show, Toey will be happy to rest along side you and keep you company!
• Loves humans and cuddles
• Nerve damage to front & rear right leg so minimal stairs at home
• House trained and doggy door trained
• NOT tested with children, cats or pocket pets
• Needs a home with lots of love and company
To register your interest in adopting Toey you can fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au or www.petrescue.com.au
Toey is in foster care in the Singleton, NSW area. They are not currently available for interstate adoption. The adoption fee is $400.00 and they are desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.
PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provides individual listings with specific requirements for each foster dog. If you submit an application or inquiry and DO NOT receive a response within 5 business days, please understand that you have not met the specific requirements for this dog. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time.
This organisation's adoption policy is moderate. What does this mean?
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire: https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
