About Calvin klein
With the best qualities of both breeds Calvin Klien will make a wonderful addition to most family types
Calvin Klein came into the rescue with his mummy and siblings on xmas eve after being left in a rural pond.
Mummy âNarllaâ is a Whippet x Staghound and we were told daddy is a Whippet also
Narlla ( Mummy) has the most amazing temprepent and is a kind loving gentle and sweet girl so if Calvin is anything like mummy when he grows up a lucky family will have an amazing temperament family member
Calvin klein is at a weight of just 12 kilos
Calvin is an active puppy who loves to run around and explore and do lots of zoomies. Calvin also loves to help you mop or sweep the floor (which always turns into a game of tug of war). Calvin is also extremely sweet and will always come to you for cuddles and pats
Toileting/Training/Walking/Car
Calvin will go outside to go to the toilet either through the open backdoor or doggy door. Overnight if Calvin needs to go to the toilet he will use a puppy training pad. In new surroundings we expect that Calvin will have a few accidents until he is used to his surroundings.
Calvin has learnt to sit and will use a doggy door. Calvin has been practicing walking on the front lawn with a lead. As he is not fully vaccinated yet he has not left the property to go on a walk. However I still put him on a lead in the front yard to lead the train but also get him used to seeing cars, people and other dogs walking past. It will be important that Calvin attend puppy school to help further his training and for socialization. Once fully vaccinated Calvin will need to be taken for daily walks, increasing in size as he grows. Calvin will cry loudly if locked in a travel crate in the car and much prefers to sit on the backseat with a seatbelt clip.
Sleeping
Calvin will not sleep in a closed crate (he will cry loudly), however he will sleep in it if the door is left open. During the night he will either sleep on a doggy bed with another dog or he will climb up on the bed. During the day Calvin will tend to take himself to my walk in to sleep, but if you are sitting on the couch he will also snuggle up to you and sleep. Calvin sleeps through the night.
Indoor/Outdoor/Obedience
Calvin is very independent and will happily occupy himself outside with toys and the sandpit. Calvin is extremely well behaved inside and has not yet chewed on anything other than toys. Calvin will listen when you tell him no.
Dogs/cats
Calvin has been living with multiple dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds and has no issues with any of them. If you have a dog they must be female (as we do not adopt to the same sex) and well socialized. Calvin has not lived with a cat but given her age we see no issues with adopting him to a home with a cat, However your cat must be dog savvy.
Children
Calvin has mainly been around teenages and on occasions younger children. If you have young children we would be seeking a home with dog experience children that can handle a puppy.
Enrichment
Calvin loves to play with toys (not fussed by type), he also loves to play in his sandpit and on occasions will sit in the dog pool. Calvin loves zoomies and to run fast. Calvins loves to play and wrestle the other dogs in the home.
IDEAL HOME
If I could have my wish for my new home I would love the following
Children - I would love to have some children if possible who are gentle and kind and loving but mature enure to know I need lots of un interrupted nap time while of grow and who won't drop me so over 5 would be nice
We recommend children in the home to have prior dog / puppy exposure before your family applies for a young puppy s puppies teeth and have sharp little teeth
I would love a secure backyard that has grass for me to play in with shelter and shade and room for me to run so no little units or tiny terrace yards
I would be fine with cats as I'm young enough to learn
I would love a BFF doggy friend if possible that is a FEMALE and of medium size and up who is kind and loving and would be ok with the usual puppy chewing and playful behavior. .She must be desexed and well socialized with other dogs
I would love a home that my new family are willing to train me and not just have me as a back yard ornament and who will treat me as a part of the family
A home with a family that have dog experience is essential as puppies are hard work and require lots of time and devotion to ensure they become the best dogs they can be
