Saint Laurent

Saint Laurent is a sweet little girl who loves human attention and snuggles, but also loves to run around with the other dogs in the home.

With the best qualities of both breeds Saint will make a wonderful addition to most family types

Saint La came into the rescue with her mummy and siblings on xmas eve after being left in a rural pond.

Mummy “Narlla” is a Whippet x Staghound and we were told daddy is a Whippet also

Narlla ( Mummy) has the most amazing temprepent and is a kind loving gentle and sweet girl so if Joop is anything like mummy when she grows up a lucky family will have an amazing temperament family member

Saint Laurent is a sweet little girl who loves human attention and snuggles, but also loves to run around with the other dogs in the home.

Toileting/Training/Walking/Car

Saint no longer has accidents inside. She will go outside either through the open backdoor or doggy door. However in new surroundings we expect Saint to have a few accidents until she is used to her surroundings.

Saint has learnt to sit and we are working on teaching her to stay, Saint will normally go from sit to drop without you asking. Saint has been practicing walking on the front lawn with a lead. As she is not fully vaccinated yet she has not left the property to go on a walk. However I still put her on a lead in the front yard to lead the train but also get her used to seeing cars, people and other dogs walking past. Saint will happily sit in the front lawn next to you and people watch. It will be important that Saint attend puppy school to help further her training and for socialization. Once fully vaccinated Saint will need to be taken for daily walks (short walks to start with and increase as she gets older). Saint will cry loudly if locked in a travel crate in the car and much prefers to sit on the backseat with a seatbelt clip.

Sleeping

Saint will not sleep in a closed crate (She will cry loudly), however she will sleep in it if the door is left open. During the night she will choose to sleep on her doggy bed and snuggle with another dog, however some mornings you will wake up to find her snuggled into you on the bed. Saint sleeps through the night. Saint during the day will normally take herself to our walk in and snuggle up in the corner and sleep

Indoor/Outdoor/Obedience

When outside Saint loves to dig in her sandpit outdoors. Saint will explore the garden and enjoy the sun. Saint while inside will normally seek out a human and play at your feet with her toys or wrestle her siblings.Saint is a well behaved little girl and if you tell her no she will listen.

Dogs/cats

Saint has been living with multiple dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds and has no issues with any of them. If you have a dog they must be male (as we do not adopt to the same sex) and well socialized. Saint has not lived with a cat but given her age we see no issues with adopting her to a home with a cat, However your cat must be dog savvy.

Children

Saint has mainly been around teenages and on occasions younger children. If you have young children we would be seeking a home with dog experience children that can handle a puppy.

Enrichment

Saint loves to dig in her sandpit or play with her kong toys (especially the ones filled with treats) Saint has started to explore the doggy pool. Saint loves all toys and will play fetch.

IDEAL HOME

If I could have my wish for my new home I would love the following

Children - I would love to have some children if possible who are gentle and kind and loving but mature enure to know I need lots of un interrupted nap time while of grow and who won't drop me so over 5 would be nice

We recommend children in the home to have prior dog / puppy exposure before your family applies for a young puppy s puppies teeth and have sharp little teeth

I would love a secure backyard that has grass for me to play in with shelter and shade and room for me to run so no little units or tiny terrace yards

I would be fine with cats as I'm young enough to learn

I would love a BFF doggy friend if possible that is a MALE and of medium size and up who is kind and loving and would be ok with the usual puppy chewing and playful behavior. .She must be desexed and well socialized with other dogs

I would love a home that my new family are willing to train me and not just have me as a back yard ornament and who will treat me as a part of the family

A home with a family that have dog experience is essential as puppies are hard work and require lots of time and devotion to ensure they become the best dogs they can be
