Dior

Dior is a playful and confident little girl who will melt your heart at first cuddle. This sweet little girl is now seeking her forever home and will make a perfect addition to most family types

Dior came into the rescue with her mummy and siblings on xmas eve after being left in a rural pond.

Mummy “Narlla” is a Whippet x Staghound and we were told daddy is a Whippet also

Narlla ( Mummy) has the most amazing temprepent and is a kind loving gentle and sweet girl so if Dior is anything like mummy when she grows up a lucky family will have an amazing temperament family member

Dior at a weight of just 5 kilos will mature at a med size girl we feel

Favorite things – Her favorite things are playing in the water spray of the hose, playing tug of war with her foster brothers and cuddling on the couch with a movie. Dior loves exploring the garden or finding a new toy to play with.

Interaction with humans – Dior is very friendly with new people of all ages. She is always excited and doesn’t take long to warm up to them, instantly looking for pats and attention. She is very well mannered, even when excited, and being a young pup, she can occasionally jump but will certainly be happy to sit in your lap/have tummy rubs.

Obedience / Training As Dior is still young she doesn’t have much training, but is well mannered. This also means she has never been for a walk on a lead. She is still a little nervous in the car, however she will lay down or nap quite happily once she is settled.

Animal Social Skills – Dior was in foster care with her litter mate and an older foster brother. She is playful and friendly, and has no problems with interacting. She is submissive when playing with older male dogs but not afraid to play. She is very interested in toys such as tug of war which she can play with another dog, and loves to join in on anything that her friends are doing. She is also in foster care with guinea pigs, who she is curious about but hasn’t barked at, and has not shown much interest in birds. She loves to start playing tumbles with her foster siblings.

Independence – Dior is very happy to lay on her bed and take a nap in the shade or sit on the grass and play with her toy. She is very independent and keen on exploring. She prefers to be outside where she can run around than inside in her crate, and has no worries when she is left at home being outside with lots of toys, but is also entertained by playing with her foster siblings.

Sleeping – Dior is very comfortable sleeping outside in a cozy kennel with blankets, as she tends to whine if she is inside in a crate. She falls asleep very quickly outside. During her first few nights in foster care she cried for a little but didn’t take long to settle down to sleep. She now happily sleeps right through the night . Being a young pup, she also naps many times throughout the day.

Exercise – As she is a puppy and hasn’t had all her vaccinations she hasn’t been on any walks on lead, but she plays outside for most of the day, and will generally take breaks by napping before going back to playing again. She is well behaved inside the house but is easily distracted so needs to be watched. Being so young, she is likely to have the occasional toilet accident inside the house. In foster care, she hasn’t had any recent inside accidents but will sometimes go to the toilet on the concrete outside instead of the grass. She hasn’t tried to jump on any furniture, but if she gets too excited will fall over her own feet

IDEAL HOME

If I could have my wish for my new home I would love the following

Children - I would love to have some children if possible who are gentle and kind and loving but mature enure to know I need lots of un interrupted nap time while of grow and who won't drop me so over 5 would be nice

We recommend children in the home to have prior dog / puppy exposure before your family applies for a young puppy s puppies teeth and have sharp little teeth

I would love a secure backyard that has grass for me to play in with shelter and shade and room for me to run so no little units or tiny terrace yards

I would be fine with cats as I'm young enough to learn

I would love a BFF doggy friend if possible that is a MALE and of medium size and up who is kind and loving and would be ok with the usual puppy chewing and playful behavior. .He must be desexed and well socialized with other dogs

I would love a home that my new family are willing to train me and not just have me as a back yard ornament and who will treat me as a part of the family

A home with a family that have dog experience is essential as puppies are hard work and require lots of time and devotion to ensure they become the best dogs they can be
