About Sandy
When we asked Sandy's foster mum, a long-time foster carer and dog trainer, about this lovely girl, her first comment was, "Greyhounds like Sandy don't come along often."
This sweet-natured and elegant canine lady gets on well with all other dogs, big and small; is house-trained; and is a dream to walk on a lead.
Check out the attached video, which was taken on the day she arrived at her new foster home, and note how mellow she is with the other dogs.
Sandy came from a very loving home, but a drastic deterioration in financial circumstances forced her family to surrender her. They could no longer offer her the life she deserved.
This well-mannered girl would make an ideal companion and would be best suited to a home where someone is around most of the time. She's accustomed to living inside and outside. A typical greyhound, Sandy's a lounge lizard and loves to snooze her way through the day, although she does love a daily walk and a zoomie or two.
As always, secure fencing is essential, although Sandy is not a fence jumper.
Her adoption fee is $300 and she is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
