About Philippa
Pug for life – that’s what you need!
So hey how you going? My name is Philippa and I am a 3 year and 3 month old Pug and ready for my new family.
My foster mum says I have to tell you a bit about me – so here goes are you ready?
I am a happy full of life Pug who loves life, loves her humans and ready to be spoilt!
I love cuddles in bed and love to sleep on the bed with my humans – my foster mum has said that I have to be truthful and tell you my sleeping habit – apparently you ‘need to know’ – I am a bit demanding at bed time for cuddles and love to spoon and have us time and wouldn’t want a home where I can’t sleep on the bed – but the good news is I don’t hog all the bed and blankets.
I am currently in care with other dogs and I love to wrestle with my foster siblings and have a play. I also love to snuggle next to one thru the day when it’s nap time.
While I am great with other dogs to play and socialize with I can sometimes get a bit impatient at dinner time and don’t like it if the other dogs are jumping around distracting my foster mum so she can’t serve us dinner – I have been known to be a bit bossy then – my foster mum says it’s a pretty easy fix and to fed me separate so that I can eat in peace – I hear her mumble from time to time that I don’t starve and don’t take food so serious but I looooove my food.
My foster mum says I have the pug personality of everything is an adventure and fun and I will velcro herself to you in any activity you are wanting to do.
I love to go on car trips – even just around the block makes me give you the big pug smile. I also love going on walks (weather permitting).
I am not tested on cats and my foster mum said it could go either way but I promise if I chase them it will be with a smile.
My ideal home will be with someone who is home more often than not or who works from home – yeah we know, everyone hates seeing that in posts about dogs but it's really true I love hanging out with my humans.
Oh yeah my foster mum says this is a huge thing to let you know - I have a single coat so pug lovers understand I don't shed as much as others which I'm pretty sure my foster mum is excited about… my foster pug sister oh wow we can make a second pup out of her somedays!
I also love to have access to air conditioning and the couch.
I am toilet trained
If you are wanting a best friend who will share your food your couch and your bed please fill out an adoption application and hopefully we can meet really soon.
** Please note applications will close Thursday 2nd February 2023 at 5.30pm

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
