About Jack
Introducing the gentleman Jack. Jack is an American Staffy born 26th May 2011.
Jack is a sweet & gentle old man who adores his human companions.
Jack appears to be either deaf or hard of hearing and is desperately looking for a quiet place to live our his retirement. He loves going out for a gentle stroll and he doesn't pull on the lead when walking. Being "mature aged" he's more than happy with a 20-30min walk and he enjoys a well deserved snooze afterwards.
Jack wasn't a fan of male dogs & he was reactive with females when they were first introduced, however given time to settle he was fine being around her, but he wasn't playful. For this reason we feel he will be better suited as an only dog.
Even as an old boy, Jack has got quite a high prey drive, so we are recommending a home with no cats or pocket pets.
Jack has shown no signs of food aggression towards humans however he has shown mild signs of separation anxiety when left alone.
Jack is such a loving man who wants nothing more than a home he can call his own and not have to worry about losing another family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Jack, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Jack’s adoption fee is $300, and this includes his desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. Jack is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Jack is currently located in East Maitland.
Medical notes
Being an older fella Jack is at least partly deaf.
Jack has seen a vet as he's quite stiff in his back legs. The vet stated that this is due to muscle loss from being starved before coming to us.
While he has the very beginning stages of arthritis it doesn't need to be medicated at this time

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
