This old girl absolutely LOVES life. She loves cuddles, loves attention, loves toys, loves playing with other dogs, loves food, loves snoozing, loves to help mowing the lawn, loves to explore, loves to voice her opinions…She just LOVES life!
Her spirit is magical! Her sassiness makes you laugh, her playfulness makes you smile and the devotion she shows you makes feel like the most loved person in the world.
Selma loves other dogs, is toilet trained, sleeps like a log through the night.
Selma is looking for a home with:
- someone home more often than not
- a doggy friend or she’d be ok as an only dog if people were around a lot
- minimal steps/stairs
- a backyard (no apartments)
- no cats or pocket pets (she barks and tries to chase them)
- a family that understands and is committed to keeping her old lady joints pain free and comfortable
Medical notes:
Selma has needs typical of an older dog. She has cruciate disease in her back hind knees and arthritis in her joints (most notable her front left shoulder). This is being managed through supportive treatment and does not affect Selma’s zest for life.
She will need a family committed to this supportive treatment such as joint supplements, Pentosan injections and anti inflammatory/pain relief if needed.
Selma has had an extensive dental in our care, with multiple teeth removed. This doesn’t affect her love of food.
