About Boof
What else could you name this wonderful gentleman other than Boof... I mean, just look at that photo, it makes you smile instantly, feels you with a desire just to squish him and want nothing more than to make this gentle and affectionate boy your new best friend.
Boof has lots of energy but is a very receptive dog and understands when its time to be calm, behave and put on your best manners. In social situations this boy excels, listens intently, does as he is asked and loves playing with other dogs.
Having previously lived with cats, Boof would be suited to a home with pre existing Felines and with a slow introduction would quickly make them his friends, just like he does with everyone else. Another dog in the home, look no further, Boof has yet to meet a dog he didn't like and is the life of the party when in a playgroup.
What more can I say, other than if you have been considering adding an all round awesome dog to the mix, welcoming a new four legged forever friend then look no further than Boof.
To book a meet and greet with Boof please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
