Abby was adopted in Hong Kong and and bought to Australia in 2022. She is extremely loving and sweet.
Abby was dumped as a puppy (with serious injuries) and takes time to trust but when she does she loves you completely. She has come so far from the dumpster she was found in with a gash in her head where someone tried to kill her. She deserves happiness and a home where she can be loved for her. She is so excited to see her humans, dancing, singing and bringing you her toys.
Abby is cautious of other dogs and skittish when large dogs come at her - she loves to run off the leash when there are no other dogs around. She loves long walks and does very well on loose lead. She loves hiking, the beach and spending time with her humans. She does wonderfully on long car trips too.
Once she is familiar with a secure backyard she is happy to be left alone. She does not react to dogs barking around her apart from giving them some room.
She will need a new family with experience of dogs and the willingness and patience to get to her know her and earn her trust before taking her on. We promise though that you will be rewarded with more loyalty and love than we have ever experienced from a dog.
A message from her carer
“ Currently she gets 1-2 walks per day. She likes a good play in the yard if just one walk.
She currently eats biscuits and we will often treat her with a topper. There was a suspected allergy to chicken, so we have stayed away from chicken based foods just as a precaution.
She is fairly good on recall and getting better as we continue to work with her. She used to do off lead hiking but now there are too many dogs around .
Her anxiousness is the main ‘negative’ so it just takes some time to bond with her. She is not aggressive towards humans and generally shys away from other dogs, particularly more boisterous ones.”
