About Isaac
My name is Isaac.
I love everyone, almost as much as I love squeaky toys. And I really love squeaky toys. If we mesh and I come to take up all your space, then you had better be ready to have my toys all over your house. Unlike many greyhounds I am not a collector, I much prefer to spread my possessions as far around as possible. Be ready to buy me lots of toys, I have some already, but I can never have too many.
I would be happiest with a medium to large dog friend to live with because I do love having someone to play with. My favourite game with my foster sister is chases, we run all over the garden, but she is much faster and more agile than me. Once I even fell into a bush when I missed a corner, it was terribly embarrassing.
I also love water, we have a clam shell pool at my foster home and it’s my favourite spot to lie down. The hose is fun too, cause that’s where water comes from. I’ve been to the beach once before and that was AMAZING, it was deep enough for me to swim in, it was hard to convince me to get out.
If I have a friend to stay with I will be happy to be home alone for full time hours. And being the extremely good boy that I am I can even be inside for five or six hours unattended and I won’t make a mess. The only exception my foster mum has found is that I like to pee in the shower, I don’t know if I will keep doing this with my new family so it may be best keep me out of bathrooms. But because of this I think I might be ok living in an apartment, so long as you tell me where I am allowed to toilet.
I am a food thief. No food is safe from me, after all what is a bench but a greyhound dinner table. I have been known to eat directly out of the bag of dog food, so make sure food is in cupboards.
I am an absolute gentleman on a lead and will walk politely with you, never pulling even if I see something exciting, like a new friend. Even when I am walking with my foster brother and sister I never tangle leads. I do love my walks and need to go at least once a day, the longer the better up to about 45 minutes. If I don’t get my walk I will run around like crazy to use up my energy, but that doesn’t take long, after all I am a greyhound. After I have used up my energy I will sleep happily on my bed all day, most likely in full roach which is my favourite way to sleep.
I can’t live with cats or pocket pets as I find them too exciting. But I will be ok with older children (over 😎. I am a very tolerant boy who loves lots of attention and hugs, but I am still not aware of how big I am so I might knock small people flying without realising it.
I am absolutely fine with loud noises like trucks, thunder and firework. The only sound I find suspicious is dogs barking on the TV, I will always go and look around to see where the friend is and I can never seem to find them. I don’t even mind the vacuum cleaner which is really just a machine that goes brrrr.
All in all I am a very good boy, looking for a person or family who will love me and give me lots of toys and attention.
